Would you like to use third party music services such as Spotify and Pandora on Amazon Echo devices? If yes, then go ahead and read below-mentioned steps.

Though Amazon has its own music service but there many like me who have got a subscription to Spotify and would like to play music from it and says, “Alexa play Ariana Grande — break up with your girlfriend on Spotify.”

I know it is very annoying to say your preferred service every time you ask Alexa to play for the music. That is why here in this article, I am going to explain how you can make Spotify and other streaming services your default music source on the Echo devices. So you don’t have to say “on Spotify” every time you request Alexa to play music.

How to Make Spotify Default Music Player on your Amazon Echo

Step #1: Launch Amazon Alexa App on your smartphone and then tap on the hamburger menu.

Step #2: Tap on Settings.

Step #3: Tap on Music, which is located under Alexa Preferences.

Step #4: Tap on Link New Service.

Choose you prefered music service such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Tidal, Vevo, Pandora, Deezer, SiriusXM, and Gimme.

Step #5: Once you choose service, you will be directed to a new page.

Tap on Enable to Use and then enter your account details.

Step #6: Now, you will find the selected service in the Music Menu.

Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and tap on choose default music services.

Step #7: Choose the services you want for your default library and default station.

That’s it. Now, you can listen to music through the service by simply asking for a song or station without saying, “On Spotify.”

I hope you find the guide interesting. If you are facing any problem while performing above mentioned steps, then leave your comments below.
